We’re looking for a Finance Officer to join the team!
POSITION SUMMARY
Perform a wide range of finance and accounting duties, including financial reporting, budgeting, asset management and general ledger maintenance.KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Reporting: Review financial statements monthly, quarterly and annually for accuracy, analyze trends and variances, and distribute reports to stakeholders.
General Ledger Maintenance: Ensure accuracy by posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and conducting month-end/year-end closing activities including account reconciliations, bank reconciliations and financial reporting.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Support annual budget development and gather inputs, periodic forecast and business plan, and provide variance analysis.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, prepare models, and identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
Cash Flow Management: Assists in managing cash flow, prepare cash flow forecast and implement strategies to optimize liquidity.
Audit and Compliance: Support internal and external audit processes, ensure compliance with standards and regulations, and improve financial processes.
Review of Finance Policies: Evaluate and update finance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirement and best practice and improve efficiency, effectiveness and internal controls.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, supervise and mentor staff, and foster a teamwork-oriented culture.
Function Support: Provide financial support and guidance to other departments and take on additional finance-related tasks as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & KEY COMPETENCIES
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field with 2 years of working experience in finance or accounting roles, including experience in financial reporting, budgeting and asset management; or Higher National Diploma in Accounting, Finance or any related field with 5 years of experience.
CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
Proficiency in financial analysis, financial modeling and Microsoft Excel
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, internal controls and regulations.
Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work effectively in a team and fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Experience with financial software systems (SAP) is preferred.
