  • We’re looking for a Finance Officer to join the team!

    POSITION SUMMARY 
    Perform a wide range of finance and accounting duties, including financial reporting, budgeting, asset management and general ledger maintenance.

    KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Financial Reporting: Review financial statements monthly, quarterly and annually for accuracy, analyze trends and variances, and distribute reports to stakeholders.

    • General Ledger Maintenance: Ensure accuracy by posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and conducting month-end/year-end closing activities including account reconciliations, bank reconciliations and financial reporting.

    • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support annual budget development and gather inputs, periodic forecast and business plan, and provide variance analysis.

    • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, prepare models, and identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.

    • Cash Flow Management: Assists in managing cash flow, prepare cash flow forecast and implement strategies to optimize liquidity.

    • Audit and Compliance: Support internal and external audit processes, ensure compliance with standards and regulations, and improve financial processes.

    • Review of Finance Policies: Evaluate and update finance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirement and best practice and improve efficiency, effectiveness and internal controls.

    • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, supervise and mentor staff, and foster a teamwork-oriented culture.

    • Function Support: Provide financial support and guidance to other departments and take on additional finance-related tasks as needed.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & KEY COMPETENCIES 

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or any related field with 2 years of working experience in finance or accounting roles, including experience in financial reporting, budgeting and asset management; or Higher National Diploma in Accounting, Finance or any related field with 5 years of experience.

    • CPA or CMA certification is a plus.

    • Proficiency in financial analysis, financial modeling and Microsoft Excel

    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, internal controls and regulations.

    • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work effectively in a team and fast-paced environment.

    • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

    • Experience with financial software systems (SAP) is preferred.
